Customer questions & answers

Question:How is the this monitor a 27 inch and have a product width of 24.5?
Answer:The screen sizes for monitors and TVs is always the diagonal measurement. So the viewable screen for the LG 27'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR 10 (27'' Diagonal), Model # 27UL500-W has a diagonal measurement of 27" and the monitor has a side-to-side measurement of 24.5". Remember the pythagorean theorem from high school c = the square root of the width squared multiplied by the height squared?

Question:This infor says its 1ms is this true?
Answer:No around 5ms

Question:What is the difference between hdr 10 and hdr 400 version?
Answer:HDR 10 is the standard and an HDR 400 monitor describes the brightness of a monitor within the HDR 10 standard. It is an oversimplification is to say HDR 1000 monitor is brighter than HDR 600 monitor which is brighter that HDR 400 monitor but it gets the point across. I am very happy with this monitor for what I do, mainly coding and writing. I would not consider a monitor that was not at least HDR 400 certified. Maybe in a year or two I would only consider an HDR 600 monitor but today they are too expensive and not that available.

Question:I read conflicting informations! could you please tell me how to display 4k@60? i am using a macbook pro 2020. do i use hdmi? or dp? thanks.
Answer:The LG 34” UltraGear Curved QHD Nano IPS 1ms 144Hz HDR 600 Monitor with NVIDIA G-SYNC® Ultimate, Model # 27UL500-W supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160@ 60Hz over DisplayPort and it will support 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz over HDMI when HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color is set to On. Check to make sure that your graphics card in the device that you connect to the monitor is set to output 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz.

Question:it has a 2.2 hdcp?
Answer:As indicated in the title for the LG 27'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR 10 (27'' Diagonal), Model # 27UL500-W, it has a native UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 and it supports HDR10 so the HDMI ports on the monitor will have to be HDMI 2.0a ports which is required for HDR10 support and they will have to be HDCP 2.2 compliant which is required to pass a 4K signal. For you to pass a 4K signal to the monitor, everything in the video signla path has to be HDCP 2.2 compliant for the 4K signal to pass. If any one device in the video signal path is not HDCP 2.2 compliant, a 4K signal will not pass.

Question:Does this monitor support 4K and 120fps at the same time?
Answer:The LG 27'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR 10 (27'' Diagonal), Model # 27UL500-W has a native 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution and a native refresh rate of 60Hz. It does not support a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Question:What is the ppi (pixels per inch) of this monitor?
Answer:it's a 4k monitor 3840x2160 multiply the two and you will get your answer.

Question:Is it possible to remove the the metal piece that protrudes 1 inch and the stand screws into?
Answer:You can remove the back mounting piece, and mount the monitor on a standard swinging arm.
